It's never easy saying goodbye for a final time, but it's an earthly way of saying "we'll meet again". Lenore's life story is one that I'll always treasure knowing. I loved hearing of her young years and how she loved her Mother so dearly, how she loved Carolyn and her brothers and sisters; and the love she had for nieces and nephews and friends and their children. She always glowed when speaking of the wonderful times together. Her stories of Leon and their love always brought smiles. Together they were a dynamic team. They loved and cherished each other. Knowing they are finally reunited brings happiness to replace sadness. I'll never forget you Lenore. We were together as sisters in love. I'm blessed to have had you in my life. May your Heavenly life be filled with joy. May your zest for life be renewed as you soar high and healed. I'll think of your long-awaited return to a happier time enjoying those fishing trips and tennis tournaments and social gatherings and church socials and time immersed in love with your dear Leon. I'll think of you every time I order a dessert and I'll be sure to load it up with CoolWhip. God bless you. Logan and I will miss you. We loved you very much. Brenda

I am sorry to learn of Lenore‘s passing but rejoice that she is in heaven with Jesus and Leon! Lenora was the “Hostess with the Mostest.” She would host the annual Christmas luncheon of the Agape Mission Circle from Wilmington Island Methodist Church. She always made it an elegant hilarious occasion. She made sure we were all well fed! I loved her charm and humor!

The “sting of death” does hurt so bad. But, I am so thankful for the “victory in the grave”. What joy as Aunt Lenore is now with her Savior. What victory in knowing she is with Uncle Leon (her loving, devoted husband) ; and she is loving on their baby girl who was born sleeping. She talked about her so much. Aunt Lenore was another mother to us. She talked to me about mom and how much she missed her. She was not only a devoted aunt, sister-in-law, daughter-in-law, friend, but a wonderful devoted wife to Uncle Leon. Aunt Lenore loved our family as her own. She shared many good and bad times we went through. I know she is rejoicing being with her family and Uncle Leon’s family. Aunt Lenore loved us, as we loved her. She was fun to be with. She love Carey Hilliards and Arbys. When at our house, she would always have to get Uncle Leon to find her purse, as she kept on talking. Then Uncle Leon would just stand by the couch because she would end up sitting back down and talking more. He would look at her, look back at us, smile his handsome smile, and shake his head. We can never replace memories; but we can hold on to them deep in our hearts. I love you my dear Aunt Lenore. I will miss you. Loosing you is very sad. Knowing you are with our Lord brings us comfort. I will always love you; as I will keep a special place in my heart for you. I will see you when it is my time to leave this earth. Your Niece, Cathye Boatright Rhodes

My Aunt Lenore was one of a kind. She was elegant yet loved to work in her yard. She was a world traver with my uncle because of his business. She always brought strawberry trifle to our family gatherings. She loved Carey Hilliard'e Flounder dinners. When she no longer drove, I took her there for lunch and often my sister joined me when I drove her to take care of errands. Then, an accident prevented my taking her. I think she missed our times together as much as I did. My sister (Cathye Rhodes,) and brother and sister in law (Butch and Susan Boatright) will miss her.
